From July 6th to 9th Matelica, in the Marche, hosts the eleventh edition dell’Encuentro Amigos de Partagas, the most important event in Italy for fans of “slow smoking”: this year the Marche town comes alive with appointments cultural and food not to be missed.
On the heels of the alliance which binds the Consorzio Vino Chianti and Cuba, and thanks to experiments conducted together on the best combinations between tobacco and Chianti wines, the Consorzio is attending the event on two occasions: Saturday, July 9th at 12 am at the Hotel and restaurant Marchese del Grillo Fabriano will hold a special seminar combination of Tobacco, Food and wine, which will have as moderator the journalist Bruno Petronilli. During the cooking session the Serena D’Alesio Chef, will alternate interventions of Verdicchio di Matelica Consortium and Consorzio Vino Chianti on their wines paired for the occasion at special dishes and Cuban cigar. In detail, a Chianti wine d.o.c.g. 2012 Riserva (Double Magnum Institutional) and Vin Santo del Chianti d.o.c. 2004 ( “Lunanuova” 2004 – Castello di Monastero).
And in the evening of July 9th, the Chianti will be the star among the wines tasted during the Gala Dinner to be held at the central square of Matelica. For the occasion, among the wines of the Consortium combined with flow rates there will be a Chianti Riserva 2012 ( “Ser Mariotto” 2012 – Tenute di Fraternita) and Vin Santo del Chianti d.o.c. 2009 ( “Red label” 2009 – Castello di Sonnino).
