LA TORRE is a small, family and dedicated winery located in Tuscany, in a small municipality called Chiassa Superiore , in the province of Arezzo. All our wines are organic with BIO certification.
The name La Torre (The Tower) comes from an ancient tower, which is no longer existing, inside the complex. The tower was very important to defend the inhabitants from the enemies.
Our winery has 13 hectares of vineyards, located between 300 and 450 above sea level, where we produce our red wines and our Vin Santo. Together with vineyards, we have also 6.500 olive trees for the production of high-quality extra virgin oil of olive, 40 hectares of fields for the cultivation of seeds and grain and 95 hectares of wood
We cultivate indigenous grapes such as Sangiovese and Merlot for our red wines. For our Vin Santo we cultivate Trebbiano, Malvasia Toscana, San Colombano and Canaiolo. Our cultivar for olive oil are Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino.
Our wines, Vin Santo and extra virgin oil of olive are produced in the utmost respect of organic farming.
